Do you store my videos?
No. On web, all data is deleted after 5 mins. For the native app, all video processing happens locally on your machine using FFmpeg. Your raw files never leave your device — only the AI-generated metadata is sent to our servers.
Which AI model generates the metadata?
We use Gemini 2.0 Flash for fast, high-quality metadata generation — including SEO titles, descriptions, and tags tailored to each clip.
Can I edit the metadata before uploading?
Not for now, but soon you will be able to review and modify every AI-generated title, description, and tag before publishing.
Do I need to install anything?
For the web version you don't need anything. For the native app you need Python, FFmpeg, and a modern browser. Setup takes less than 2 minutes — everything else runs in the browser-based dashboard.
What platforms can I upload to?
Currently Shortify supports direct upload to YouTube via the YouTube Data API. TikTok and Instagram Reels support is on the roadmap.
